10 ways to start loving yourself the way you deserve to be loved

Our life style, routine, habits, numbness...it all sometimes gets in the way of feeling love. LOVE is what makes us human. LOVE is what puts a smile on our face and a skip in our step. LOVE is what makes us see higher and further and funnily with the smallest of things. LOVE actually keeps us less pissed off all the time! Here are some unusual things to do, to pinch LOVE in the butt and add gratitude to style.
1- Put your wake up clock with a funny or uplifting alarm. For example: Record your voice saying "RISE AND SHINE BEAUTIFUL/HANDSOME", or with a sketch from your favorite movie. Choose an upbeat song instead of standard alarm sounds; Wake me up before you Go-Go by Wham, Lovely Day By Bill Withers, Stronger by Kanye West, Soak up the sun by Sheryl Crow...the possibilities are endless. Choose what ever makes you smile :)
2- When you head to the washroom after waking up, look first in the mirror and say something unusual: "You look like I need a nap!" "You always this good looking?" "Wow! you just put a smile on my face!" "Good morning! So what's one thing we should do today?". You get the idea.
3- Install an app for daily jokes. And when you are having breakfast or commuting, read your joke. Have a laugh. And then, share your joke :)
4- Pay attention to those around you. There will always be someone that will have an eye contact with you. Then, when this happens, simply smile! You can also hold the door for someone or say "Hi!" to someone you usually don't.
5- Write a To-Do on paper. Yes the old fashion way, paper and pencil. Write down all the things you will probably do, need to do and want to do. Even for the smallest of things; like verifying emails, calling a customer, telling your joke to someone, eating your lunch, crunching numbers...write down at least 10 things. And scratch 'em off as they are done!
6- At lunch time, whether it's home made or you eat out, look up to the sky, from the window or outside and just breathe. I mean breathe, take 1 big deep breath and relax from the top of head all the down. And then recharge with another breathe from the tip of your toes all the way up.
7- Take 1 moment in your day, maybe during your break, and write a little message to say "Yo!", "Hey, just wanted to say I'm thinking of you", "I love you"...to someone. A loved one, a child, a family member or a friend.
8- At the end of the day, tidy up your work space, whether it's at home or at the office. Take a look at your To-Do list and everything scratched off. Now put your hands on your hips, smile proudly and say "Yup! another good day done!"
9- In the evening take time to eat, or exercise or talk or rest. Which ever one is the most important to you, DO IT! It only takes 15 min more and you will feel fulfilled.
10- Finally in the shower or at bedtime, say 3 gratitude. Actually let's make that 3 gratitude for what you saw, 3 for what you did and 3 for what you feel!
